A Look at the Latest Trends in Men’s and Women’s Designer Jeans!

In the world of men and women’s designer jeans, the one thing you won’t see are the plain jeans reminiscent of the ones your parents wore. Today’s trends focus on the art and details of design providing wearers with the true ability to express themselves. Whether it is the newest threads for women or the hottest in men’s designer jeans it is all about looking and feeling sexy.

Plentiful Pockets

Denim wearers are opting for pockets and are wearing them loud and proud. Women’s designer jeans are boasting colorful collections of crystals, colored pewter, and bold embroidery in chic shapes. The more decorative the pockets the hotter they are. The same fad is noticed in men’s denim.

Celebs such as Jimmy Rollins and Busta Rhymes are donning embroidered patterns embellished with black crystals. Leather accents added onto pockets give them added emphasis. These patterns and accents are even being carried beyond the pockets and onto the legs and inseams. Large, decorative flaps complete the look.

‘Slim is In’

Instead of hiding their curves under big baggy jeans, trendy denim wearers are selecting a pair that shows them off perfectly. The bootleg cuts and slim straightlegs in women’s designer jeans are making wearer look slim, long-legged and just plain sexy regardless of the size of their curves.

The same craze has taken over the realm of men’s designer jeans. Although not as skinny as women’s styles, men are tossing out wide legs in favor of comfortable and trendy straight leg versions. If you want to see these styles in action, just check out the threads that celebrities like Snoop Dog and Jennifer Lopez are wearing these days.

Wicked Stitches

The days of matching, invisible stitching are quickly fading away. Women’s and men’s jeans are sporting funky embroidered patterns on the pockets, across the legs, and even across the backside. Seams, hems, and even waistbands have also adopted bold stitching to emphasize the shape of the denim and heighten the slimming and lengthening effect of the pants.

Hi and Lo Waistbands

Unlike previous seasons when super low rise was positively ‘it,’ high waistlines are attempting to make a comeback. As to which trend is best, that is up to the wearer. Women’s jeans are moving a little higher, but not enough to cover your beloved belly button. The high waists of the past are appearing, however the generally belief is that they remain in fashion history. Men’s denim is following the same trend; higher, but not too high.

Male, female, large, or small, the latest trends in men and women’s designer jeans were made to flatter. When shopping for the latest style, opt for big, bold pockets adorning slim-cut jeans to show off your vivacious curves. Bold stitching and stylish patterns add the finishing touches to men’s designer jeans as well as women’s denim. The hottest styles in denim will have you looking great, feeling great, and have you walking in comfort and confidence.

eModa.com sits down with MLB All-Star Ryan Howard!

eModa.com recently got to sit down for an interview and photo shoot with MLB All-Star and Philadelphia Phillies player Ryan Howard! Below is a portion of our interview:

Once again our PR executive Michelle Miller sat down with one of Phillies’ best. Ryan Howard is an all Star first basemen for the Philadelphia Phillies. He has many accomplishments under his belt including, the 2006 NL Hank Aaron Award, being the fastest MLB player to reach 100 career home runs with 50 of those being in his sophomore year and just being plain and simple a kick *ss baseball player. Needless to say, the kid is a star! Out of his busy schedule he was gracious enough to swing by our head quarters with his lovely girlfriend Adriane Willmer who is currently a student at Argosy University in Arizona to do an eModa.com style interview and photo shoot.

This shoot had been scheduled for some time but due to Ryan’s Crazy schedule we had plenty of time to get to know what he would like from the shoot. He is a very loyal customer to our Philadelphia eModa.com  location on South Street. Let’s just say that we already knew before the shoot that Ryan loves Laguna Beach Jeans with Washed Up Hollywood belts and J. Steger shirts.

Michelle: “So Ryan… why is that every time I see you out and about you are in Laguna Beach jeans? I feel like you should be a spokes person for them. Jimmy Rollins also got hip to them because you rock them so much! You must have every pair. What is it that draws you to them?”

Ryan: “It is for sure their style with the hand stitching and the crystals. Walking around in those makes you stand out. They are crazy!”

Michelle:” You are a very big guy… not in a bad way in a good one haha. Tell me how these fit for you.”

Ryan:” I am 6′4” and about 255 or so… It is really hard for me to find jeans that fit right, or are long enough for someone my height. Laguna Beach Jeans fit really well without being too tight or at the same time being too baggy and loose.”

I LOVE HANDBAGS!

My friends can tell you that I’m a bit of a handbag lush. At the ripe old age of 24 (barely), I have more handbags than I have years. I am always on a constant search for the perfect bag: it should be big enough to hold my necessities (make up, smokes, wallet, keys, and even sometimes my lunch when I’ve spent all of my income on clothes and have to brown bag it for a while), versatile enough to fit most occasions (from a quick dinner with friends to say, a wedding) and durable enough to stand the test of time.

We all know how frustrating it can be to find a bag that doesn’t fit all of these categories. Whether it’s a bag you can only carry sometimes, or one that starts to fray after a month or two, it can be heartbreaking to fall in love with a bag that isn’t quite everything you need.

That’s why I am so excited to say that I have discovered the solution to all of your handbag needs: Bulga.

Bulga bags are everything you could want and need in a quality bag. They are made from buttery soft leathers, come in a variety of colors (both poppin’ly hot and versatile), and are made in shapes that draw the fine line between contemporary and classic. In short, I am in love (but please don’t tell my boyfriend–I love him more, promise!).

Here at eModa we are super stoked to offer you some of the latest collection of Bulga bags, at prices even cheaper than the Bulga website itself!

For instance, the Bulga Marquis retails on the Bulga website for $880 and is available here at eModa.com for only $799! Grab yours today before our mathematical mistake is realized.

Which Men’s Designer T-Shirt Line Is A Fit For Your Personality Type?

If you’re an aficionado of men’s designer clothing, you know that not all t-shirts are created equally. The shirt you wear speaks volumes about every dimension of your personality. Sure, you can haphazardly pick up a t-shirt at your local chain store or department store, but what does this tell the world about you?

If you’re green to the world of men’s designer clothing, you’ll want to get acquainted with the various lines before you start shopping. Every men’s designer clothing brand has a different cult following and speaks a unique message about you and your style. Use this quick guide to identify your personality type to find the men’s designer clothing line of t-shirts that best represents you.

The Brazen, Outspoken Type

You’re the type of guy who everyone notices when you walk into the room. Loud, outspoken – they guy that will say anything and do anything – and probably has. If this is you, you need a men’s designer clothing line that reflects your bold attitude. A few great matches are Dom Rebel (Latin for “Master of Rebellion”), an independent men’s designer clothing line that is a favorite of rockers and hip hoppers featuring bold designs that make bold statements.

If you’re not afraid of some color and bling, the Bulzeye line of men’s designer clothing may be a fit for you. Bulzeye is known for its collections of bold colors, sparkling rhinestones, and unique washes. If you like bold, but feel like Bulzeye is too over-the-top, Elephant Brand may be better match. Elephant Brand tees are bold yet simple, strong and powerful – without going overboard.

The Artistic, Creative Type

You’re an individual. An artist. It irritates you when you walk into a room and see someone else wearing the same shirt. If you could make your clothes yourself, you probably would. As an artist, you are hyper-attuned to the fact that your clothes should reflect the creativity within. The Key Closet men’s designer clothing line is perfect for you. This brand fuses art and clothing in a completely unique way. Not only will these impeccable designs turn heads, it’s unlikely that anyone else will be sporting the same t-shirt. Key Closet is ultra exclusive, selling their brands to as few as one store per state to protect your individuality.

If you prefer not to spend the Benjamin’s that come with Key Closet’s exclusivity, you may prefer the Monarchy line of men’s designer clothing. This brand is known for the intricate artistic detail and their distinctive embroidery and printing process that transform a t-shirt into a work of art.

The Quiet, Deep-Thinker Type

Unlike the more vocal brazen, outspoken type, you’re more likely to be observing and analyzing the situation. But just because you may not be as loud as the guy that is making a scene at the party, that doesn’t mean you don’t want clothes that convey a powerful message.

Brad Butter men’s designer clothing line is an ideal for you. Brad Butter is known for its underground vintage tattoo wear – artwork that meshes with contemporary design for a look that is intricate but uncomplicated, and bold, but not overdone. The Salvage line of men’s designer tees is another good choice. Salvage is best known for their deconstructed apparel, special looks, and unique washes and designs that are bold but still can be left up to interpretation.

When you put some thought into the clothes you wear, you might be surprised at how different you feel – and how different others treat you. Wearing men’s designer clothing doesn’t mean that you have to be dressed to the nine’s. You can advertise your individual style in a comfy t-shirt if you know who you are where to shop.

Women’s Designer Clothing Fashions For REAL Women With REAL Lives!

The styles in fashion magazines look hot on the page, but actually wearing most of those outfits is just not feasible! Furthermore, against the backdrop of anyplace other than Hollywood or NYC, most of those high fashion outfits would be completely out of place. If you’re a real woman like me – one that likes to wear the latest fashions but doesn’t want to look ridiculous – someone who loves brand names, but has grown tired of the brands everyone is wearing from the department stores, then this guide is for you.

A Woman’s Nemesis and Best Friend: Jeans

Men have it so easy. It seems they can slip on any pair of jeans and look great. For us, jeans shopping requires a long day with no appointments, a resolve that is tough as nails, and a friend for moral support. Shopping for jeans was once a traumatic experience that I tried to avoid. However, once I started shopping more high fashion women’s designer clothing, the process became far less grueling. Some women’s designer clothing brands just know how to cut demin that is flattering to women.

The key is finding the right brand for your body type. If you’re long and lean and can afford to show off every curve, go with Miss Sixty. If you’re thin waisted and can get away with wearing a low-rise jean, True Religion jeans are hot. Got some sass and like to show off your booty?  Rock and Republic jeans are fun with a variety of different pocket designs that draw major attention. If you’re feeling a little country and need to balance out your waist with a flared leg cut, go with Joe’s Honey Jeans. And my favorite…  the DVB wide leg denim designed with the sexy cut of a dress pant with the casual look of denim.

Simple T-Shirts, Major Style Statement

T-shirts are an essential piece of women’s designer clothing for any closet. But most of the time it can almost be just as frustrating to find a great fitting, great looking t-shirt as it is to find a pair of jeans! Cut wrong, a t-shirt makes you look boxy and manly. Others are cut right, but send out the wrong message with their design.

For a more feminine, flattering look, go for a slim fitting, longer length tee with a v-neck cut. The 24K Hollywood women’s designer clothing brand seems to actually ‘get’ the fact that women need more shape to their tees to look and feel great. With simple design styles, this women’s designer clothing line of t-shirts looks great whether you’re hanging out or you’re going out.

If you’re into t-shirts that allow you to speak your mind without saying a word, the Junk Food women’s designer clothing line is totally your style. With tons of different sassy and retro designs, you’re sure to find several that can speak your mind for you all day long.

Topping it Off And Changing It Up With Hats

If you’re looking for a unique way to make a fashion statement – hats are it. Although there are hundreds of cute, sexy, fashionable hats for women made by just about every women’s designer clothing brand, most women don’t take advantage of the selection! Hats offer a way to change up the look of an outfit at a fraction of the cost.

A hat can completely transform a look from night to day. Wearing a college cap with your jeans and t-shirt portrays a relaxed yet sexy look by day. Then swap it out for Robins Jean patent leather hat at night for an edgier look that’s fitting of a night out.

When you stop trying to chase those runway looks and explore the world of street fashion, shopping for everyday clothing is a lot more enjoyable. Find the right women’s designer fashion lines and defining your personality becomes an exciting adventure!

Here are some tips for finding the right size of women’s or men’s designer jeans on the first try!

Everyone knows the feeling of spending hours finding the perfect pair of men’s or women’s designer jeans only to find out they sag and pull in all the wrong spots. Deciphering the sizing isn’t as difficult as you think. Finding the perfect fit for both women’s and men’s designer jeans requires a few moments of measuring and a few tips about the difference material has on size to decide what size of pants you’ll need.

Find the Magic Number

The first and most important part of finding the right size of men’s or women’s designer jeans is finding out what your measurements are. First, use a measuring tape to measure your waist at the point where your pants generally sit and add an additional two inches. For most denim wearers, this is either on or just over your hipbone.

The inseam, from the crotch to the hem of the pantleg, is the next measurement you will need to know. Last, get your crotch length by measuring from where the four seams meet in the middle of the pants to the top of the waist band. As a general rule for women, if you subtract two from your waist size, you will come up with your pant size. For men, simply add two inches to your waist size and you’re done.

 Exceptions

The material and design of each pair of jeans can also have a big impact on the size of jeans you should purchase. For denim with stretch, you can often go one size smaller. For those that don’t stretch or contain spandex, you are best to go up one size. Another great place to look when it comes to finding jeans that fit is the zipper. If it doesn’t lay down flat, the jeans are too small.

Style Choice

The style of women’s designer jeans you choose should also be taken into consideration. Average women with generous booties should look for jeans with little mid section decoration and stretchy legs. Tall and narrow women should choose form-fitting jeans with tapered cuffs and big pockets. Shorter girls can maximize their assets by selecting wider or casual fit jeans with light decoration running down the legs.

The opposite is true in men’s designer jeans. Men with larger builds look best in darker jeans that have a higher waistband and casual width legs. For smaller men, consider denim with narrower legs and a shorter waistband. For tall and average males, opt for wider legs and busier designs to look your best.

Finding a pair of men’s and women’s designer jeans should be more about finding the styles and colors you like rather than worrying over the size. Once you know your measurements, you can find the size that works. Considering your body type will give your size choice an added boost and help you find that pair of designer denim jeans you won’t want to take off!

A hotel with style!

As graphic designer of eModa, I am extremely intrigued by new forms of art and design in today’s ever changing culture. I was even more excited when I found out that one of my favorite brands, Miss Sixty, was associated with the production of the Sixty Hotel in the heart of downtown Riccione, Italy!
The Sixty group, who has brought us eModa favorite Miss Sixty, has opened the first of a 4 star chain of Hotels! Creative Director Wichy Hassan wanted to define contemporary art and execute it through interior design.
30 artists from around the world have contributed to design this hotel making each of the 39 rooms more unique than the next. Ambience and lighting take a key role in the appeal of this hotel. Much like Miss Sixty’s line, all of the colors clash in a 70s fashion yet somehow work with the futuristic design.
Sixty Hotel also opened new ways of communication and networking within the hotel. Video chats and web cams are set up in each room and are connected to each room to expand socializing in the Sixty Community!

Charlotte Ronson and her siblings in Harper’s Bazaar!!

Charlotte and her celebrity siblings Mark and Samantha were shot dressed as characters from Wes Anderson’s The Royal Tennenbaums to symbolize their quirky upbringing. Read below to see what each of them had to say to Harper’s Bazaar about growing up and their exciting current lives!

Charlotte and her Rockstar siblings Mark and Samantha

“Getting the Ronson Siblings together is no easy task. After all, they have made being in demand an art form. Mark, 32, the hotshot music producer responsible for Amy Winehouse’s breakout album and whose own release Version went double platinum in the UK, splits his time between London and New York when he’s not performing with the likes of Duran Duran or Jay-Z. Charlotte, 31, the downtown fashion designer who counts Kate Moss among her following, is busy working on her eponymous label and cohosting charity events. Her twin, Samantha is an international DJ whose turntable skills are requested everywhere from Bel Air to Mumbai (though recently her most famouse asset is Lindsay Lohan, whom she is rumored to be dating), “Not even on the high holist of Jewish holidays do we all get together,” says Mark wryly. “But we get together individually whenever we can.”
Even before tabloid targets Winehouse and Lohan entered the picture, the Ronson family was a source of intrigue. Mother Ann Dexter-Jones is a social darling who married Laurence Ronson, a British real estate heir and band manager, and then eventually remarried to Mick Jones of Foreigner. The couple (who recently divorced) moved the family to New York when the children were in grade school and had two more of their own: Annabelle, 21, is a Bard student and aspiring actress who serves as Charlotte’s top model, and Alexander, 23, is also a musician and DJ. “It would appear that we had a bohemian rock n’ roll upbringing,” says Charlotte. “And in many ways it was, but our mother was superstrict, and we also had the very English, proper nanny.” When asked about this, Dexter Jones deadpans, “I used to be nicknamed Mummy Dearest.”
That said, Dexter-Jones’ get-togethers are legendary. Yes, the kids would wake up to the elder Ronson drinking Johnny Walker and playing chess with Daryl Hall at 8 A.M., when they were leaving for school. And sure, Al Pacino has come over for Christmas lunch. (”It was epic,” says Samantha. “I had just watched Scarface, and I don’t think I spoke.”) Speculation about who was a houseguest has taken on mythic proportions. “People say that David Bowie and Andy Warhol would pop over for tea,” says Mark. “If they did, I wish I had known.”
The parallel between the Ronsons and the quirky prodigies, Chas, Margot, and Richie Tenenbaum, of the 2001 Wes Anderson-directed dramedy The Royal Tenenbaums isn’t just a clever concept. All are products of an unusual upbringing and artistic environment.
“Samantha was and still is my renaissance child,” says her mother. “She always loved music an dbooks and had a tremendous curiousity and intensity, whatever subject caught her imagination.”
Though Samantha is recognized as a celebrity DJ, she originally broke onto the scene as a folky singer and songwriter. (Coincidentally, one of her tunes was featured in Lohan’s 2004 smash movie Mean Girls.) Currently she is remixing songs for Good Charlotte’s greatest hits album and hopes to get her band up and running again.
Lately, though, she has been in the spotlight for other reasons. When she discovered a small piece about herself and Lohan in Rolling Stone, she balked. “It’s like, ‘Oh, not you guys, too!’” says the typically press-shy Ronson. “I stay away from the tabloids. I don’t feel that I should personally have to defend myself to a magazine that I’m not a drug addict. I don’t do drugs. I don’t sell pictures of my friends.”
When asked about Lohan, Samantha is polite but firm. “I’m not going to talk about Lindsay because she’s my friend, you know? She’s great. She’s also 22 years-old. I think people forget that. With the Internet the way it is, one second we’re enemies, one second we’re best friends, one second we’re lovers, and then we’re broken up.”
By press time, reports had trickled out on the Web that Samantha had changed her personal status on Facebook to “in a relationship,” while photos of her and Lohan holding hands had circulated. She is accustomed to the speculation. “Even the airport-security guy in Canada asked me, ‘So, is it true?’” laughs Samantha. “It’s like, ‘Oh, yeah, I’m teling you.’” Charlotte adds, “The funniest thing was, I bought a bunch of those tabloid magazines and didn’t even notice that Samantha was on the cover of one.” Lohan, however, is unsurprisingly coy when she replies by e-mail: “I love the Ronsons. They’re close to my heart and I respect all the work they do. Samantha and my relationship is a private matter.”
The siblings’ love of music is as mutual as their disdain for gossipy scrutiny. “At nine months old, Mark would crawl over to sit by the speakers while his father played records,” says Dexter-Jones. “It’s a miracle that they can both still hear.” At seven, he was quizzing Keith Richards about the guitarist’s choice of chords and compositions. Another famous Keith (Moon from the Who) gave him a toddler drum less. Bob Dylan is also an influence; Mark admits he mimics the singer’s 1960’s-era style, which has girls swooning at home in the U.K., but affixed to his arm these days is British It-girl model Daisy Lowe, 13 years his junior.
This past winter, Mark won three Grammy Awards, in part for his production of Winehouse’s album Back to Black. The two later fell out when Winehouse publically imploded during work on their collaboration for the new Bond film. The singer’s rep maintained it was creative differences, while Mark hints otherwise. “At the time, it was hard to get some work done,” he says diplomatically. “But she’s been in the clinic, I’ve been to visit a few times, and she just looks amazing.”
The fashion industry is similarly tumultuous, yet Charlotte has maintained her status as a successful designer since she began in 2007. “I was always interested if fashion,” she says, “but I went to art school originally, I think if I really thought about it as a career, I would have been scared off!” She started out by making custom T-shirts that were snapped up by Moss and Gwen Stefani, then formed C. Ronson, a contemporary line. Two years ago, she established the more mature and hipster-approved Charlotte Ronson label, which pulled in an impressive $22 million in worldwide sales in 2007. Recently, she partnered with pals Lily Allen and Nicole Richie to create limited-edition hadnbags that have sold like hotcakes at her flagship boutique in Tokyo.
Given the Ronsons’ genetic fabulousness, it’s safe to say that each of the trio is starting his or her own chapter of lore. One thing is obvious: They have one another’s backs. Charlotte illustrates the point perfectly and satorially: “When Samantha is walking around and all of the paparazzi are shooting her, I should have her wear a T-shirt that says, “WEAR CHARLOTTE RONSON on the front. And on the back, it could say AND LEAVE ME ALONE.” ||||
