What a crazy week for Nicole Richie!
Last week I was worried, sitting by the phone, waiting for her to call, write, show up, anything; but this week she surely proved that she’s still here. Between her BFF #1 Paris Hilton SERIOUSLY going to jail and BFF #2 Lindsay Lohan going to rehab (well that was just a matter of time), Nicole is losing more than just pounds! Her new gal pal Mischa Barton probably had no idea what she was getting into when she started hanging out with the heiress pack.


While the invitation for Nicole’s Memorial Day Party was supposed to be a joke, it was no laughing matter when Misha fell over and was rushed to the hospital after apparently mixing antibiotics and alcohol and vomiting. Duh, Misha, if you wanna dabble with the diva’s, the correct combination includes cocaine, but you got the alcohol and purging parts down!
Nicole ended her night getting into a minor accident in Joel Madden’s BMW. (if I remember correctly, didn’t Puff Daddy give him that car FOR HIS BIRTHDAY?!)

After she hugged it out with the other car owner, he woke up quite early the next morning and got a mani/pedi, only to find trouble once more!

A police officer came in looking for her after she allegedly just parked her car out in front of the place. Perhaps this was just a lame excuse for this policeman to talk to the lovely lady, but, I mean, now that Paris is REALLY going  to jail, I hope this crime shopping doesn’t become a habit.
Nicole’s court date for her DUI is June 8th. Let’s hope she does go to jail and is Paris’s cell mate and instead of The Simple Life, we can all tune into The Hardknock Life!

Since this feature is starting June 1st, next year, all 12 contestants will be reposted NEXT JUNE and showcased again for voting.  The winner of all the votes will win a great emoda.com prize package and be deemed our 2008 EMODA ICON.

My favorite thing besides screaming at the television when Charlie (supposedly) died last night on last nights non-question answering/more question asking for the next 9 months season finale of Lost is definitely reporting on my two favorite celebrities, Josh (hotta hotta) Holloway and Nicole Richie, who both seemed to be a little lost as far as the media is concerned! I found both of them, thankfully, and am more than happy to announce that we’ll be seeing more of them despite the 3 trimester cliff hanger and rehab rumours..

I’ll begin with my future baby daddy, Josh, who will be the new face of Davidoff Cool Water, worldwide, EXCEPT North America where we get not so hot Laird Hamilton. What a rip off, especially since the Cool Water commercials and ads are shot around Holloway’s Hawaiian homefront. Looks like I’ll be subscribing to many foreign magazines.

Josh seemed really excited about the whole campaign, joking that after he started wearing the fragrance, it seemed as though his wife had a crush on him again. Haha, oh Josh, next time, you just swing by my place, no need to do ads, I’ve got some movie roles you can co star with me in.
Honestly, I’m just glad that hot face of his isn’t on hiatus for 9 months.
I’m also glad Nicole Richie is back in the press, I was getting pretty concerned.
Nicole and her assistant were out and about getting sushi, reading tabloids and getting manicures in downtown LA yesterday. I’m so happy to see she is smiling, eating and having a good time. Not sure if the rehab rumours are what got her to come outside makeup-less, but she looks good regardless!

We all know Posh Spice Victoria Beckham is one of the most saught after celebrities in the world right now and especially after announcing her big move to California with hotta hotta hubby David Beckham. Poor Posh, we feel for her, but she showed us how cool she actually is, fooling the paparazzi who were avidly waiting for her arrival stop somewhere in downtown LA after reports of her limo floated to shore.
There they were all waiting when the limo stopped at a jewelry store, paparazzi with their fingers on the shutter button were officially punked when instead of long anticipated Posh, the limo driver revealed it was a Victoria Beckham blow up doll, complete with oversized sunglasses, blonde hair and a frightening look quite similar to that of the disappointed onlookers!
I love when celebs pull pranks like this.
Look out for the Beckhams reality tv show debuting in July on Bravo.

Lindsay Lohan has been buzzing around Calum Best lately. Obviously she doesn’t realize he is a creep!
So who is Calum Best? Well, he was named Company magazine’s Bachelor of the Year in 2005, and according to Lindsay is a “nice guy”. I beg to differ.
Is being romantically linked to over a dozen beautiful celebrities in a matter of a year considered to be a nice guy?
How about randomly pinning model, Sara Kova, up against a wall in a club to grope her while he was out with Lindsay?
But what really confirms that this guys is a hands down extreme creep is this photograph right here that I got from my friends at popsugar:

It sure was a star studded weekend and to wrap up my fashion coverage for the “King of Fashion” event at the Met, I’ve decided to leave the best for last.. and I mean it.

What the hell is going on here? iT looks like Kirsten was hanging out at one of those Brooklyn bars again and got slipped a rufie by this..schmuck. Does anyone even know who this idiot is? This once again proves that some celebrities cannot tell the difference between Costume Gala and Costume Party!

Lindsay, Lindsay, Lindsay- what are you doing here, babe? YOU look fabulous, but that dress looks like a titty hammock! Did your mom pick this out just so she could rag you and use you for interviews on ET?

Liv Tyler is starting to resemble Liz Taylor here, seriously! I love Liv, but this dress is too bright for her washed out skin and that lipstick has me on the verge of purge!

This wouldn’t be fun if I didn’t throw in some well dressed stars now would it? Psych! Lucy Lui, you’re killing me! You’re so close to looking like a diva, but the purple/gold thing is way to reminiscent of the LA Lakers and I mean, if you’re going to go with sports team colors, E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES is the way to win me over.

Mary Kate Olsen, who in the hell let you out of the house looking like an oversized boa!? Seriously, take some advice from you sister, don’t try looking like Cruella Deville and get yourself an older man to hang on!

I’d be a liar if I said anything bad about Mischa Barton, I love her look, her dress and her hair. She is a pure beauty, always looking fresh and well kept, not to mention, she has KILLER shoulders! Rock on Mischa!

Molly Sims looks like her dress was in a cat fight right before she slipped into it, what happened here? This looks like a good dress gone bad, or even worse, a good dress gone to the Urban Outfitters clearence rack!

This dress might have looked better on another body, but on Renee, no way! The black detailing around her hips and that huge head of hers in combination makes her look like a snake digesting a baby mouse, ewww!

Rihanna, this dress is amazing, why did you ruin it with the Madonna look of yesteryear!? I love love love that haircut on her, though! She’s got such a beautiful face and it was ruined by a wicked pair of black lace gloves! (Hey at least her gigantic feet were covered)

Rosario Dawson is so cute in this dress! She looks so light and airy, like a flower. I’m not a big fan of this color pink, but let’s face it, it’s working for her! You go girl!

Sandra Bullock, aren’t you old enough to know better? This dress looks like something I could buy at a department store for a prom, c’mon! This WAS a joke right?

It was truely star central last night at the Metropolitan’s Costume Institute Gala!
Dozen of celebs arrived to show their support for the museum, to show themselves off and to, more importantly, celebrate the infamous fashion designer, Paul Poiret, named the “King of Fashion” when his pioneering designs freed women from the dreaded corset. We thought that some of them took the “costume” thing a little too seriously.
Surely as you look over the extensive pictures and my exclusive commentary, I’m sure you’ll see that there is something for everybody!

I’ve decided to do this in two installments to keep you interested. Trust me, if you think some of this is bad, just wait for what I have for you tomorrow!

Amanda Peet leads the pack of fashion dolls attached to the 80’s look. Personally I like it, and it looks like that guy in the back is digging it as well.

Muy Bonita! America Ferrera looks fantastic and super slim. The hair is a little “White House” for me, but I’ll take it!

Anna Wintour is a diva regardless of what she’s wearing but the Snakes on a Michael Jackson look is a little.. risky?

Ashley Olsen and Christian Louboutin look great here, I love the dress, I love how she brought him as her date, no complaints!

Brooke Shields is looking retirement style formal here, perhaps she was trying to dress as if Poiret never existed?

Cameron Diaz looks like a princess here, I love the clashing colors reminiscent of a currently running Visa commercial. Cam totally celebrated the Poiret style!

While this beautiful golden flapper inspired dress might have been the star of the show, Cate Blanchett was too busy dressing up as the blonde version of the Bride of Frankenstein to realize that it was a costume gala, not a costume party!

This green tube dress looks stunning with Chloe Sevigny’s pigmentation and eyes, however, it obviously took her a few beers to figure that out.

Chris Klein is always looking like a dapper-dan even when he’s just lounging out in sweatpants. Clearly he looks like a prince in this suit, however, I think Ginnifer Goodwin’s dress is a little too big for her tiny little figure as well as a little too bold for her skin. I do love her usage of accessories and love love love that clutch!

Oh Ed Burns and Christie Turlington, these are the two you don’t want to be standing next to if you are having even the slightest of bad days! These two look super fabulous, I love the turquoise incandescent dress and Ed is always looking hotta hotta!

Look how cute Christina Ricci looks! This was a total shocker at the gala, she looks fantastic! We do want to mention that she is such a Penelope Cruz bang style tapper!

Claire Danes, I love your dress, I do not know why. I have to give mad props to Miss Danes for going for something unconventional and yet still staying classy. She’s truely appreciative of Poiret’s contribution to fashion.

I love Debra Messing to death, I think she’s absolutely gorgeous and classically styled, but not last night. Instead of being cool, calm, Debra Messing, the diva, it looks like a disco ball made a messing on her dress. Hey, maybe she was hanging out with that guy in the back of Amanda Peet’s pic…

Clearly Ellen Pompeo takes the cake for best dressed. She looks stunning, the dress, the hair, the perfect application of makeup, you better give your stylist a raise!

Eva Mendez in a pocketed silver tea length silver belted dress with Michael Kors; this is my dream couple. I love Michael, he looks great and Eva needs no words when it comes to her ultra cool style. I think I’m going to frame this picture and put it on my desk.

For Gisele, I’m not really impressed. I think this dress looks a little dated, the whole black and white 80’s business look isn’t working for me. I’m definitely not digging the space suit/dominatrix straps, its actually kind of creepy.

I love Iman and David Bowie, they are probably the most stylish couple in the public eye and I absolutely adore how Iman wore a pant suit! What a great way to celebrate a womans freedom to wear what she wishes!

I’m not so keen about Jennifer Garner’s fabric choice, its very devil/mermaid/vixen-ish, but I must say she is in great shape and the color does work for her!

Jennifer Connolly and Paul Bettany look great as a married couple for one, and secondly Jennifer’s dress, purse and jewelry are very elegant, tasteful and modern, I love it.

My favorite of all the Jennifer’s, Jennifer Hudson, of course, looks amazing. Everytime I see a new picture of this diva, I can’t help but be jealous of her voluptous figure and incredible smile. This girl is going places!

What’s up fake and bake Simpson, I mean, Jessica. I’m not really digging Jessica’s washed out brown tresses, nor am I even remotely fond of the dress with the spray on tan detailing. Seriously, how does she get to go home with John Mayer?

Jlo, my girl, I love that hair-do! Both Jlo and Marc Anthony look totally hotta hotta here. I love the metallic on her and he look straight up sexy. They win hottest couple in my book, for sure.

John Mayer, man of my dreams, arrived with that infamous “just got out of bed” hair style and Roberta Armani on his arm. She looks completely fab but apparently not fake tan and exposed breasted enough for John’s taste. He brought Roberta and left with Jessica Simpson.(ew)

LONG LIVE THE FOREHEAD BAND! Ever since I wrote that post, people have been giving me “the looks” but all hail Juliette Lewis for rocking the forehead band with style and grace. The dress is a little Greek for me, but I love the color and admire her great taste!

Karolina Kurkova looks great here, but I neglected to post the picture of her looking like a bag lady before she took off the God awful shall and fur wrap. We’ll just leave it at this. She looks nice (now).

Kate Bosworth looks has the cutest dress at the show, I love the layers at the bottom, the champainge color and those to-die-for shoes. The only thing missing is a good shampoo, this ‘do is totally cramping her style and making her look dirty.

Is it just me or does Kate Moss look a little upset here? I don’t know why, she looks fantastic! I love the dress, the minimal makeup, the pulled back hair, the diamond earings, that signature cocaine smile, no need to cry Kate!

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos look delicious together! Well, it’s probably just Mark looking delicious, but Kelly looks pretty good herself. The dress is a little too 90’s “mauve” for me, but it definitely looks good on her, wouldn’t you agree?

I feel for Britney, I do, but that woman needs to settle down with her ways and just chill out. Pictures of her arriving to her “performance” in a blonde wig and cigarettes have been roaming around the Internet like a bad habit. What scares me is that Brit was really making it happen before the whole Kfed ordeal and then the divorce just set her over the top. It was only today when I realized what is happening; call me a conspiracy theorist, but I think fans of Michael Jackson have been infiltrating Britney the whole time, using her as BAIT to make him seem less crazy.
I’m not going to deny my love of all Michael Jackson music, but this seems like something the Jacko crew could be up to.
Britney’s aunt Chanda spoke out recently, here’s what she had to say, :

“The family felt very disappointed in the way she was acting,” Aunt Chanda said.

McGovern, says Britney’s infamous head shaving was an act of rebellion. “It was her way of running out and saying ‘I’m not the pop princess you think I am, now leave me alone.’”

As for the future, aunt Chanda hopes Britney the pop star, will remember where she came from, saying, “Remember your roots, remember who you are, and don’t let anyone ever change that.”

It looks like someone in her family has their head on straight, we’re lucky if Britney has her wig on straight!
