| Founded in 1999, Ya-Ya has since become one of the leading brands in the exploding LA design scene and is based in Los Angeles' fashion district. They are a collection of artistic beings who are dedicated oto the production of quality apparel, each product crafted by a carefully selected manufacturer. Ya-ya focuses on elegant fabrics, flattering cuts, and wearability.
Ya-Ya is headed by Yael Aflalo who was born in 1977 and attended the University of California at Berkeley. She spent a year at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in LA and at the age of 20, began designing apparel, piece by piece. Yael found her foundation in reconstruction and before long, a buyer at Fred Segal took notice and urged Yael to create a complete collection. In 2002, Ya-Ya was launched. |
