Over 122 million television viewers tuned in for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest, confirming its status as Europe’s favourite TV show. The 54th running, the biggest ever, organized by Channel One Russia and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), took place on 12, 14 and 16 May 2009 at the Olympiyski Indoor Arena in Moscow. It was won by Norway’s Alexander Rybak with the song Fairytale. The shows were broadcast live over the Eurovision network.

Remember back in 2004 when Victoria Beckham signed on to endorse Rock & Republic. Well, 2 years later she broke from them to create her own line, DVB. While it initially went well (and cost twice as much), we all know a denim brand can never survive on a high profile name alone.
Now, Mrs. Beckham is trying to sue Rock & Republic for 100mil since her own line can hardly compete in popularity. Our sales here at eModa are living proof of that! It’s been half a decade since she walked from Rock & Republic, do you really think she should have any claim a line she endorsed once upon a time?
A lesson to celebs out there, if you don’t KNOW and LOVE denim then DON’T try launching your own label! Take is from us, denim is a very specific market and while some people do buy based on name, ultimately it comes down to the issue of a lot of things... fit, marketing and price.
Rumor has is she may be dropped famed boutiques like Kitson and Fred Segal.
Sorry Vikki, but R&R seriously outsells you here too.

Also have you guys ever figured how much DVB looks like Rock and Republic? No joke, two years ago i was shopping in NYC and I was in the Rock section trying some on, and I picked several pairs to buy after trying almost 10. When I got home without knowing I accidently bought a pair of DVb's that were mixed in. I couldn't even tell the difference when trying them on. Interesting.

DID AMERICA GET THEIR IDOL ALL WRONG??
Last night, adorable Kris Allen from Arkansas was crowned the season 8 winner over the edgy rocker, Adam Lambert... Now, Kris may have pulled more votes last night, but their song rankings on Itunes say something very different.
Before last night, American Idol and Itunes did not release the song rankings to avoid revealing the popularity of the contestants. After Tuesday's show, Kris's song Aint No Sunshine When Shes Gone, and Adam's song Mad World were both uploaded and SURPRISE... Adam's song is #4 and Kris's is #6... but Kris won and Adam didn't??.
Something doesn't really add up here.. I guess America wasn't ready for the first male American Idol that likes boys...well, openly anyway :)

Police Arrest Alleged Gang Members

ATLANTA -- Police announced on Friday that they arrested five alleged members of a notorious street gang during a raid at a southwest Atlanta home.
CBS Atlanta was the only television station at the raid on Warner Street Thursday night.
At the Friday press conference, police announced that the people who were arrested were part of the so-called ‘30 Deep’ gang.
Police said they believe the gang was responsible for the break-in Thursday at a midtown Atlanta boutique eModa.com. Several pairs of expensive jeans were recovered at the home, police said. Investigators said gang members would sell the expensive jeans on the street for as little as $50. The jeans usually cost up to $800.
Several weapons were also recovered in the raid, police said.
Police also said they believe one of the gang members, Jonathan Redding, 17, was involved in the killing of bartender John Henderson at the Standard restaurant in Grant Park on Jan. 7.

This old pair of LEVIS were found in a mine in the Rand Mining District, on the Mojave Desert,. California. They are covered in candlewax from the candles the miner was using to light the tunnel he was working in. They were found with and old paper bag with the name of a mercantile store which operated between 1895 and 1898 in the town or Randsburg. Their was also a gunny sack with the initials A.P.K. and Randsburg marked on it. A.P.K. is through to be Adam P. Kuffel who was a partner in the mercantile store.

Yet another amazing catch stolen off the market!
My personal love, Trent Reznor announced his engagement over the weekend. The lucky lady is West Indian Girl vocalist, Mariqueen Maandig. The happy couple went public at the Star Trek premier in LA last week.
If you are not familar with Trent... he is the lead singer, song writter and producer of Nine Inch Nails. He has also produced people like Marlin Manson, arranged the sound track for "Natural Born Killers" (by Oliver Stone) and so many other amazing things that make me happy.

Changing faces. Has anyone else noticed how Rihanna is slowly transforming into Michael Jackson? First it was the new curly do… now she’s taking style cues from the 80’s pop icon. The whole Chris Brown situation must have really messed with her psyche. I’m waiting for her to start wearing Jackson’s signature glove. Then what? Starting her own Neverland Ranch?
